Nuestra compañera Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto, miembro asociado de ACIS en Andrómeda, se encuentra de estancia en la Universidad de Harvard desde la que realizará una intervención titulada «Myth and Representation: Discursive Analysis of the Femenine in the Archaic Period» el día 29 de abril a las 18:00 (EDT) en el Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard (26 Trowbridge Street, Cambridge, MA 02138).
«Visiting Scholar in the Department of the Classics at Harvard University, Roxana Beatriz Martínez Nieto investigates the symbolic and discursive construction of women in ancient Greek thought, conducting a discursive analysis of the feminine in Greek founding myths, with the aim of determining whether, in the creation narrative of the Archaic Greek period, the feminine is reconfigured or subordinated to the Olympian patriarchal model. The application of the hermeneutic method of myth criticism can help us demonstrate a discursive continuity between Mother Earth and the Olympian genealogy.»
